ModEco Premium Mini

Synergy-Dream offers an innovative ModEco Mini kiln, which is characterized by an unconventional approach to the wood drying process. In this equipment, preliminary drying is carried out at the expense of the exhaust coolant, with the possibility of its redirection in the opposite direction. The kiln is unique in that it produces charcoal that matches the shape and relative size of the raw material entering the retort. This process produces large lumpy premium coal. The kiln capacity is 36 tons per month.

The kiln consists of a kiln and three pyrolysis blocks with two retorts in the middle.

The kiln is a metal body with walls and bottom lined with high-temperature insulation. The following materials are used for the lining: ceramic fiber with a working temperature of up to 1250 degrees, ceramic tiles with a working temperature of up to 1250 degrees, fireclay brick SHA 5. Also, metal parts made of refractory steel AISI 310 and partially AISI 321 were used in the kiln construction.

The retort body is thermally insulated, which ensures a constant and uniform temperature in all its parts. Wood pyrolysis takes place directly in the middle of the retort. The inner walls of the retort can be made of different high-temperature steel (on request). In the design of the ModEco Mini kiln, we used steel grade 09 G2C, which ensures a long-term service life of the retort (at least 10 years).

The ModEco Mini charcoal kiln can be operated both with an automated control system (ACS), where the ACS controls the kiln operating modes and keeps the temperature within the set parameters, and in manual mode, where the kiln operator uses thermocouple readings to control the process.

When coal is unloaded, the lower hatch and gate open. Coal is unloaded into metal stabilization tanks.  To stabilize the coal, metal stabilizers are used, which, subject to the cooling and stabilization regulations, ensure proper preparation of coal for packaging.

This kiln model may be of interest to those who want to start charcoal production from scratch. It can be ordered initially with one or two pyrolysis units. In the course of operation, to scale up production, it is possible to increase the number of pyrolysis units to two or three, respectively.
