EcoShell
There is a global need for efficient utilization of agricultural waste such as walnut, coconut, almond, hazelnut, apricot and olive shells. To solve this problem, Synergy-Dream has developed the Eco Shell kiln, which processes agrobiomass into biochar.
The main part of the kiln consists of a reactor where the raw material is recarbonized. The charring process is accompanied by pyrolysis, which produces gases. The gaseous waste is burned in the furnace channel and the raw material processing channel.
The furnace operates in a flow mode and generates a significant amount of thermal energy – up to 1 MW. This energy satisfies the needs of coal combustion, and the remainder can be used for other purposes, such as heating large rooms.
Raw materials are loaded using a bucket elevator, which feeds the material to the augers. The augers transport the coal to a container for further stabilization. The furnace is also equipped with a water cooler and a cooling tower to cool the coal to a temperature of 40°C.
